Industry 4.0

Live transformer tracking with digital transformation.

Europower World ensures the highest MVA production per m² through Industry 4.0 panels and digital detailed production tracking.

Within the scope of our digital transformation approach, the instantaneous status of all transformers in the manufacturing facility is monitored via special screens. The stage of each unit, its progress, and workflow continuity can be viewed within an integrated tracking structure.

PROCESS

Manufacturing journey

Engineering and Design

The transformer manufacturing process begins with engineering and design studies carried out in accordance with customer needs and international standards. By conducting electrical, mechanical, and thermal analyses, the performance, reliability, and efficiency of the transformer are optimized.

Winding

The low and high voltage windings of the designed transformer are wound using precision manufacturing equipment. At this stage, the correct positioning of conductors and insulation applications are critically important for the long-lasting and safe operation of the product.

Core and Active Part

The magnetic core is formed by precisely stacking high-quality silicon steel sheets. The windings and core are brought together to form the active part, and the basic structure of energy conversion is prepared.

Tank and Mechanical Production

The transformer tank and auxiliary mechanical equipment are produced taking into account durability and sealing criteria. Welding, surface preparation, and painting processes are completed to provide protection against external environmental conditions for many years.

Insertion of Active Part

The fully produced active part is inserted into the tank using special lifting and assembly equipment. During this process, assembly is carried out in accordance with mechanical strength and electrical safety requirements.

Final Assembly

The assembly of bushings, radiators, protection equipment, and other accessories is completed. All connections are checked, and the transformer is made ready for testing and commissioning stages.

Drying, Vacuum and Oil

Drying and vacuum processes are applied to remove moisture from the active part. Then, transformer oil is filled under vacuum to maximize insulation and cooling performance.

Testing

Except for short-circuit withstand tests, they are subjected to comprehensive routine tests in accordance with all major international standards such as IEC, IEEE, BS, and ANSI.

Shipment and Site

Transformers that successfully complete testing are prepared for shipment and safely delivered to the customer. Successful completion of the project is ensured through on-site assembly, commissioning, and technical support services.

Testing Laboratories

Verifiable performance

Europower World's testing facility is a combined laboratory complex consisting of two integrated testing areas. The facility allows more than 30 transformer tests to be performed in full compliance with international standards and customer specifications.

The laboratory supports electrical, dielectric, thermal, mechanical, acoustic, and functional verifications throughout the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) process.

Europower World can perform all transformer tests required by major international standards such as IEC, IEEE, BS, and ANSI, excluding the short-circuit withstand test. Short-circuit withstand tests are carried out in independent laboratories with international accreditation when required.

Quality Management

At Europower World, the quality approach is not just a verification step at final inspection. Quality is managed as an integral part of the entire process from engineering to material entry, from production to testing, and from documentation to shipment.

• Digital Process Tracking

Within the scope of the Industry 4.0 approach, production and quality processes are supported by digital tracking systems. The stage of the transformers in the manufacturing facility, relevant work steps, progress status, and process controls can be monitored via digital screens.

This structure contributes to the quality teams tracking the production flow more visibly, performing in-process controls in a timely manner, and strengthening project-based traceability.

• Quality Gates

Each production stage is tracked with designated quality gates. Material entry, intermediate controls, production steps, and final controls are recorded to create a traceable quality structure.

• Traceability and Documentation

Critical production, testing, and quality records of the transformer are tracked on a project basis. Thanks to digital process tracking, the product's production history, control steps, and relevant documentation are managed in a more controlled structure.

• Compliance with Standards

Quality processes are carried out in accordance with international standards, customer specifications, and project requirements. The aim is to ensure that each product is shipped to the field in a reliable, verified, and traceable manner.

OHS and Safe Working Culture

At Europower World, Occupational Health and Safety is not a supporting element of the production process, but a core part of the entire operation.

Heavy equipment, high voltage, lifting operations, assembly steps, testing processes, and field work are managed with safe working principles.

• Safe Production Environment

Occupational safety rules, use of personal protective equipment, field organization, and operational discipline are applied as part of the daily working culture in production areas.

• Safe Production Environment

Occupational safety rules, use of personal protective equipment, field organization, and operational discipline are applied as part of the daily working culture in production areas.

• Training and Awareness

OHS culture is strengthened through training, field briefings, Asakai meetings, and continuous awareness activities.

• Preventive Approach

Proactive OHS management is provided by identifying risks in advance, planning necessary actions, and regularly tracking field applications.
